Privacy anddata protection

This notice explains what happens to personal data when you visit artixant.com. The short version: this site has no analytics, no tracking cookies and no third-party scripts, and it stores three things on your device — all of them either required to show you the page or a preference you set yourself.

01

Who is responsible

ARTiXANT, based in Assen, Drenthe, in the Netherlands, is the controller for the personal data described here. For any question about this notice or about your data, write to hello@artixant.com.

02

What this site collects

Nothing about you is collected by the site itself. There is no analytics, no advertising or tracking technology, no fingerprinting, no contact form, no account and no newsletter. Nothing you do on these pages is sent anywhere, profiled or sold, and no automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

03

Storage on your device

Three items may be stored in your browser. None of them identifies you, and none is transmitted to us or to anyone else — they are read only by your own browser to decide what to show you.

04

Why you are not asked to accept cookies

Consent is required for storage that is not necessary — analytics, advertising, tracking. This site has none of that. The three items above are either strictly necessary to deliver the page you asked for or a preference you set yourself, and under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive that kind of storage is exempt from consent. Asking anyway would be a banner that collects a decision nobody needs to make. If analytics or any tracking are ever added, this notice will be updated and your consent will be requested before anything is set.

05

Hosting, fonts and third parties

The site is a set of static files. Fonts are served from this domain, not from Google Fonts or any other font service, so visiting a page sends no request to a third-party server and reveals your IP address to nobody but the host. There are no embedded videos, maps, chat widgets, social buttons or advertising networks. Links to LinkedIn and to client sites are ordinary links — nothing loads from those domains until you choose to follow one.

The site is served by our hosting provider, which, like any web server, records standard request data such as IP address, time, requested page, browser and operating system. These logs exist to keep the service running and secure, are processed on the basis of legitimate interest, and are not used to build any profile of you.

06

If you contact us

If you email hello@artixant.com, or connect with us on LinkedIn, we process what you send — your name, address and the content of your message — in order to answer you and, where it leads somewhere, to take steps at your request before entering a contract. We keep that correspondence only as long as the enquiry or the business relationship requires, then delete it.

07

Legal bases and retention

Serving the pages and keeping the site secure rests on our legitimate interest in operating a working, protected website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Answering your enquiry rests on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or on that same legitimate interest where no contract follows (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Nothing here relies on consent, because nothing here requires it. Data is kept only as long as the purpose it was collected for lasts, or as long as Dutch and EU law requires.

08

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights over your personal data. To exercise any of them, write to hello@artixant.com. We answer within one month.

  • Access — to be told whether we hold data about you, and to receive a copy
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure — to have your data deleted
  • Restriction — to have processing limited while a matter is resolved
  • Portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable form
  • Objection — to object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdrawal — to withdraw consent at any time, where processing ever relies on it

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). You may also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

09

Transfers outside the EU

This site does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area. Should that ever change — for example through a new service provider — this notice will say so, and the transfer will be made on a lawful basis such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

10

Changes to this notice

If what the site does with data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes — new processing, new recipients, anything requiring consent — will be clear rather than quietly folded in.
