Formal statement

Sustainabilitystatement

This statement sets out ARTiXANT’s commitment to sustainability across the environmental, social and economic dimensions identified in the UN Sustainable Procurement Framework. We are a small European engineering company, and we have written this the way we write our case studies: what we do, what we can evidence, and what we are not yet in a position to claim.

01

Purpose and scope

This statement applies to all ARTiXANT operations and to the work we deliver for clients across Europe. It is issued as a formal commitment for procurement and tender processes, and sits alongside our Corporate Environmental Policy, which covers our environmental obligations in greater operational detail.

02

Environmental: pollution, resources, climate and biodiversity

We are a professional services firm with no manufacturing, no fleet and no industrial emissions. Our environmental commitment therefore concentrates where our impact genuinely sits: the energy behind computing. We commit to selecting infrastructure providers that publish renewable energy sourcing, to treating compute efficiency as an engineering requirement on every system we build, to extending the working life of equipment and routing it to certified WEEE recycling at end of life, and to operating remote-first so that routine commuting is designed out rather than offset. Our direct impact on biodiversity and land use is negligible; we do not claim programmes in areas where we have no meaningful footprint, and we regard indirect impact through data-centre siting as a supplier selection question rather than one we can influence directly.

03

Social: rights, labour, equality and well-being

We comply with Dutch and EU employment law and uphold the principles of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour or human trafficking anywhere in our operations or supply chain. Recruitment, pay and progression are based on capability and contribution alone, without regard to gender, ethnicity, age, disability, religion or sexual orientation, and we commit to equal pay for equivalent work. We work remote-first with flexible hours, which we regard as a practical well-being measure rather than a benefit: it makes the work compatible with caring responsibilities, health needs and life outside it. We deliver in English, Dutch, Polish and Ukrainian so that clients and colleagues are not disadvantaged by working in a second language.

04

Economic: life-cycle cost, SMEs and supply chain

We advise clients on total cost of ownership rather than the development invoice alone, including the recurring model, infrastructure, monitoring and maintenance costs that determine whether a system is affordable to keep running. Where a simpler solution would serve better than an AI system, we say so. We are an SME ourselves and we price to remain accessible to SMEs, publishing indicative ranges openly rather than making cost discoverable only through a sales process. Our supply chain is short — primarily cloud infrastructure, hosting and software tooling — and we favour European providers where they are competitive on capability.

05

Evidence of progress

We prefer evidence a reader can check over claims they must take on trust. The following are verifiable on this website today: every case study is published with an explicit statement of its limits, including what was not tested and what remains unresolved; indicative pricing is published openly, including an entry tier costed for smaller organisations; our cost analysis directs readers to total cost of ownership rather than the development fee; compute-efficiency controls — model right-sizing, caching, and token and iteration limits on agent loops — are described as standing engineering practice; and the site is published in four languages, including Ukrainian.

06

What we do not claim

We do not hold ISO 14001, ISO 14064, or an equivalent certified management system. We do not currently measure or publish a carbon footprint, because at our scale any figure we produced would rest on estimates we could not defend under scrutiny. We do not publish workforce diversity statistics, because a company of our size cannot report them without identifying individuals. We would rather state these gaps plainly in a tender than present commitments we cannot evidence.

07

Responsibility and review

Responsibility for this statement rests with the founder and director of ARTiXANT. It is reviewed at least annually alongside our Corporate Environmental Policy, and sooner if our scale, operations or obligations change materially. As the company grows, we intend to replace estimates with measurement — beginning with energy attribution for the infrastructure we control — and to update this statement when we can report figures rather than intentions.

08

Availability

This statement is published openly and may be printed or saved as PDF from this page for procurement and tender submissions. Requests for further detail during a supplier assessment can be sent to the address below, and we will answer specifically rather than refer back to this document.
